Your input needed for Salary Surveys on this site

A few members had requested a salary survey module addon to the site, i have spent some time adding this functionality.

It is available here:-

or from the link on the left hand navbar under information sub heading.

You need to enter your information to see the charts.

AT present the database is empty so it will take a while before the results are worthwhile so please go and enter your country, currency, main cert and annual salary now. Its completely anonymous so no-one will know who entered the data.

Once there is some more data in the db i have some more ideas to enhance it as follows:-

A secondary dropdown menu dependant upon the country one to enter in state (If USA) or County (If UK) so that a more local salary idea can be gleaned.

Ability to run other interesting stats like richest cert globally/nationally

A couple of points about the Salary survey.
Firstly, you cannot get to the page to view the salaries without first putting in salary info. Thats fine for the first time you want to go to the page but on subsequent occasions you will have to re-enter your salary each time, thus creating many more occurences of a particular salary than really exist!

Also, the certs are listed along with a salary but no indication of the number of people with a particular cert, just each cert's dollar value. So its hard to tell what meaning the data has from looking at the bar chart.

Just some observations!

the salary surveyor should track if you have submitted an entry before and then if you have present the graph selection section at the bottom of the front salary surveys page ?

And yes the second point is a limitation of the survey but unfortunately i cant find a way around it due to the limitations of the php code that i hacked to produce the graphs
