We seem to be getting an increasing number of people trying to pay to get a subscription but are unable to do so because Paypal isnt supported in their home country or alternatively people distrust Paypal and would rather pay using Credit Card direct.
We have the option of organising an internet merchant account to be able to accept credit card payments but there is an increased overhead and monthly upkeep fee for this, let alone the coding changes to make the site work with it so we want to be sure it would be a worthwhile idea.
Could you please post in this thread if you have wanted to pay to join but either wouldnt because of Paypal dislike or your country wasnt supported by paypal

Yes, you really must do some alternative methods of payment, may be not to have a deal with credit cards directly, but may be use not only paypal, for example you can use moneybooker or e-gold - reliable and well known systems.
