Passed 290 and 291 This Week

First, thanks to all the contributors on this site. Makes studying easier.

I passed 290 on Tues with 882 and then 291 on Thursday with a 766. Was really just taking them to get experience. The college where I work had vouchers that expired on Thursday so they were giving them away.

Used dumps from here, Testking, and M$ books to study.

Only real problem I encountered was in the simulations. The underlying code seems to have some bugs. Some things you had to do a few times before it actually worked. For example: adding the Everyone group to an ACL. I would choose the group, hit Okay, and it would not show up. Took 3 times of doing it before it worked. On another, I had to reset the sim and start all over.

Material in the sims themselves seem pretty straight forward if you have done any lab work. Biggest thing to know is where to start. For example, if you need to add a new zone in DNS, it is best to know to go to Admin Tools\DNS to get started.

Best I could see, there was no limit to the amount of choices you made as you worked the sim. Kinda like real life, where you fumble around to find the right place to do something.

Now on to 296, not gonna take the individuals. Just one more test til MCSE:2003.

I used the 290[a] to 290[o] dumps put up by admin in 2005.
Should be the first set when you go to dumps.

Yes the TestKing 290. Gives same info as dumps, adds simulations, and explanations.

Just be sure to actullay work thru simulations on your study computer. Learn how and where to go to do the things they are asking about.

Thanks again Wiley. Any ideas on which website to buy TestKing material. I saw a whole bunch of websites with the same testking logo and tag line. Any ideas/suggestions/advise would be of great help. Thanks a lot again and goodluck with your other exams as well.
