got a 664 mark this time. Good grief, what does one have to do to pass this thing!
Fresh out of ideas on how to pass this exam. Have done 8 other Microsoft exams and nothing compared to this.

Surprised
V Sorry to hear that. Crying or Very sad

Sorry if im going over old ground, but you may remember some the earlier posts (prior to system TD disk failure). It has to be down to the sectioning of the test and the scoring of some Q's with a disproportionate % of the marks. On both visits to Vue , prior to the printout, I was convinced that I'd done significantly better. The 2nd attempt a scraped a pass. And tis was even with having enough free time to cram for days in advance of it.

It's now getting a worse rep that the 'beast' 70-216 that used to cause so many problems a few years ago.

Assuming you've beeen using the latest 70-292 (654 Q's) its probably got past the, "give it a fair go" appraoch. IMHO, I suggest that you:-

1) Use the latest dump and memorise it. I was getting less than a 1% error during my prep for test 2 (when i'd decided i'd had enough!).
2) Buy (choke) the very latest TK, apparently 700 q's, so there are a further 40 Q's, and memorise it. Surprised
3) Am I right in thinking that you can do 2 individual exams instead?
4) Alcohol also comes to mind! Large malt whisky, wont get you the cert, but it may take away some of the dissapointment!

Good luck!

the thing is, when I'm doing the exam i really think I'm doing pretty well. And when I look at my test results it does look like I'm getting 75% of the questions right. THe thing is, I have no idea which questions I am getting wrong as I'm confident my answers are correct in most cases. I dont think there's much more I can learn from the dumps and I've gone back to my mcse study books and might buy a different one at some point. I guess the one section I seem to lose a few points on is the Managing Users and Computers section which ironically seems pretty easy at the time!
Maybe TK is the way to go for this particular exam but really not sure how to get over the hump, so to speak. Its not as if I'm looking at the questions saying "oh no, I have no clue on this one". Quite the contrary, I think I know most of the answers which is more annoying. If it was totally foreign material then at least I'd know what to cram on for the next time.
Oh well, still havent heard of anyone else who has passed this exam since Snafu scraped thru!

I thnk this exam marking is flawed as so many are struggling with it. So dont beat your self up too much. As with all MS exams getting the % in each section is the requirement. So one failed section and you get a 650 mark or there abouts.

With the sectioning and %requirements game it could be down to 1 question in a section that is marked higher than the others. This will also explain the low pass marks. If they increased the Q's in the test then that would spread the load , so to say.

From memory, In the failed test there were about 30% of the q's that were not familier or came straight out and said pick A! In the 'just passed' test, that was reduced to about 15%. Still only just passed. After the first failure and not being able to afford more retakes, (didnt have the 2ndfre key at the time1) I spent weeks preping, using the product, reference books and even following dump q's through on a server. I can only refer you to my earlier advice and pull out the big guns.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

This is one is tricky with loads of reports of failures. I know a couple of people myself who got creamed.

If you check the TestKing site it is now up to 704 questions! Crying or Very sad
